2024 saw millions of acres of trees and homes go up in smoke. Caused by lightening, negligence, mismanagement and many other causes. We are not short on finger-pointing and blame for these fires but with our expanding population and encroachment into national forests, fires are expected. As I write this in July 2025, a fire broke out in Northern California and in North Eastern Arizona, Navajo Nation. From the great Northwest to the Carolinas to Canada to Mexico, we lose millions of acres to fire each year. We get a lot of building materials from Canada and Mexico so, when I speak of America, I mean the American Continent and all free people living here. So, as fires rage across the continent, we sit back and point fingers and give billions away to the devastated nations to destroy other nations, only to appropriate billions more to rebuild the devastated nations. Governments need to live by the same fire protection rules they impose on we the people and, must use some of this foreign aid to protect we the people from the devastation of fire. I would purpose we start with 50 billion dollars purchase three or four large (C141) type aircraft and convert them to water haulers and 25 fixed wing aircraft designed for fire fighting as well as 25 helicopters. All of this should be under the control of Homeland security, the National Guard or the Airforce Reserve and be transferable to clobber any fire before it can cause too much harm. You can do it if you want to. We the people don’t hire you to make excuses as to why nothing gets done. We the people hire you to protect us and provide for our welfare and honor the limitations of our Constitution. If you can’t do this, quit.
